Make Your Own Fermented Hot Sauce with F-word Farm

This event is FREE and open to all! Space is limited to 20 participants, so registration is required. We are sorry, but no walk-in participants can be accommodated.

Emily Makrez, owner of F-Word Farm and educator on all things related to fermenting, farming, and foraging, will guide us in making our own fermented hot sauce using fresh Mill City Grows peppers!
Attendees are required to bring:
- a cutting board
- a knife
- a clean glass pint jar (a 16-oz canning mason jar is ideal, either 5.13″ tall and 3.38″ in diameter, or a Wide Mouth jar that’s 4.6″ tall and 3.125″ in diameter)
Optional item:
- A small scale (in grams) – bring one if you have it!

Mill City Grows Community Workshops create space for community members to share knowledge and connect with others. Our hands-on workshops provide tools and resources on a variety of topics, including gardening, composting, cooking, and practicing a sustainable way of life.
Workshops are approximately 1.5 to 2 hours in length, and are free and open to the public. Donations are gratefully accepted!
