Farm to Table Cooking Classes
for LGH Cancer Center Patients

Co-presented by Lowell General Hospital Cancer Center and Mill City Grows

• Classes run October – December 2022

• Open only to Lowell General Hospital Cancer Center patients, caregivers, and family members at NO cost!

• Classes held in person weekly on Tuesdays with morning and evening options available

• Each class is limited to 6 participants

This special 8-week Lowell General Hospital Cancer Center Farm to Table Cooking Class series will highlight recipes created by Mill City Grows staff members and LGH Cancer Center Dietitians to support those who are in chemotherapy, remission, and beyond. We’ll present affordable meal prep ideas that will be easy on the body and filled with nutrients from seasonal farm fresh fruits and vegetables. LGH Cancer Center clients may invite caregivers and family members to register for classes. Please note: Class size is limited to 6 participants. Classes are NO CHARGE for LGH Cancer Center patients, caregivers, and family members.

Please note that COVID-19 protocols will be in effect throughout class, including masking. Finished meals can be eaten together on-site with class approval, or packed up to be enjoyed at home.

Farm to Table Cooking Classes
for Lowell Families: Coming winter 2023

Mill City Grows’ Farm to Table Family Cooking Classes are designed to give kids and adults the skills to prepare fresh, seasonal, affordable meals together.  Participants will experience fun, hands-on, step-by-step food preparation in a working kitchen, and will take home their freshly cooked meal to share with family.

Farm to Table Cooking Classes are perfect for any age or skill level and will focus on nutrition, food preservation, recipe-sharing, and healthy eating tips. Most of the fresh ingredients in each class is grown on our Urban Farms in Lowell or on area farms — we’ll supply all the veggies!
