Mill City Grows fosters food justice by improving physical health, economic independence, and environmental sustainability in Lowell through increased access to land, locally-grown food, and education.

Together, we’ve transformed vacant lots into thriving food production sites, provided nourishing food to thousands of families, and engaged community members of all ages and backgrounds in Lowell’s local food system. Lowell public school students received 161 hours of food & nutrition education

families grew their own fresh food across 8 community gardens

pounds of food was grown across all our urban farms and gardens

volunteer hours were completed by 463 individuals across all Mill City Grows programs
